"Before starting work, we, of course, contacted the creators of the game. The Finns were absolutely delighted with our idea. Gave permission to use music, sounds and everything that can help us, — says Anatoly Kolesnik, one of the film’s creators. — When we painted the general concept of the video, we went to shoot. We went out on the ice on January 21, by the way, it was freezing outside −28 °С».
When the general shots and shots of the holes were filmed, the most painstaking work began. It was necessary to adapt the “live” footage to the game. The most difficult part was working with the pictures from the menu: it was necessary to re-draw all the icons. "We worked for a whole month to draw each element, – continues Anatoly. — Of course, we are all unprofessional artists, we got out as best we could. We had to draw a cabinet – we first took a photo in a furniture store, and only then drew it. Next came the “assembly” of the film and dubbing. And from the original game we left only the music and some sounds».
As a result, the video turned out to be so realistic that sometimes you don’t understand whether it’s a game, a fishing video or just a video of someone playing.
